Diversity Reading Room

The diversity reading room is a small work and meeting room on the 5th floor of the Seay Psychology building, intended as a safe space for conversations about culture and diversity. The room includes a small library with books on multiculturalism and related topics, and may be used for meetings, reading, and working. The Reading Room is accessible from within the 4th-floor auditorium, or the 5th floor.

Diversity Speaker Series

The diversity speaker series provides presentations on research relevant to diversity and multiculturalism in psychology. Speakers are also often members of groups underrepresented in academia, but may also be people who study topics relevant to these areas who are not from underrepresented groups. Presenters from both within the university as well as from other universities have presented. The speaker series is free and open to the public.

Graduate Student Panel Series

Are you pursuing a career in psychology? Considering graduate school? The Psychology Diversity Committee holds a Graduate Student Panel during the spring semester to discuss "Is graduate school in psychology for me?"

We discuss things to consider when deciding on whether grad school is your next step, how to become a competitive applicant and get research experience, steps involved in applying and deciding on schools, and more. Join us next spring!
