Biography


Alban graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015, where she received her B.S. in Psychology and a second major in German. During her undergraduate career, she conducted a wide variety of research, including neuroscience, correctional psychology, and social psychology. After graduation, Alban worked as Lab Manager in Dr. Chris Beevers' Mood Disorders Lab at The University of Texas at Austin, where she conducted research studies on cognitive mechanisms of depression, including attention bias and working memory, as well as an online treatment program for depression. Alban is currently a second-year student in Dr. Mike Telch's lab. Her research is focused on interventions for PTSD, including interventions targeting shame. She enjoys running, cooking, reading, and hiking.
