Graduate Student Climate Survey

In the summer of 2020, the Psychology Graduate Student Diversity Committee conducted a comprehensive survey to examine the climate of the department. The survey aimed to capture the overall experiences and perceptions of graduate students, with a special focus on diversity- and inclusion-related experiences. The surveyed topic areas include overall perceptions of department climate, advisor-student relationships, perceived stressors, personal well-being, and the impact of COVID-19. The results identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth, which will guide the department in its on-going efforts to foster a more diverse and inclusive environment for all of its members, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff. The document provided is the entire contents of the survey results with the exception of respondents’ individual written reflections.
