UT's The Daily Texan newspaper interviewed UT alum and local artist Jennifer Chenoweth on her "Hedonic Map of Austin," currently on exhibit in the Psychology Department's Seay Building.

Inspired by Robert Plutchik’s wheel of emotions, Chenoweth’s numerous works engage viewers by incorporating their responses to questions about where they experienced different emotions into interactive maps. The installment is being displayed in the southeast entrance and stairwell of the Seay Building from now through 2014.

 UT students, faculty, staff and the public are all invited to contribute to the ongoing project by:

  • Writing answers on (provided) separate pieces of paper & placing them on the flower diagram in the 4th-floor stairwell, and by;
  • Adding a Post-it flag to the large map of Austin in the 2nd-floor stairwell to mark personal emotional landmarks.
Results will be added to a second Hedonic map at a later date.
