Celebrated Author Nicholson Baker Discusses "the Fate of the Book"

Thursday Sep 27, 2012 5:30 PM | Blanton Auditorium

Renowned novelist and print historian, Nicholson Baker, will discuss the state of print publishing. A staunch defender of paper objects, Baker is a celebrated author of fiction and non-fiction. As a novelist, he often focuses on minute inspection of his characters' and narrators' stream of consciousness. He has written about poetry, literature, library systems, history, politics, time manipulation, youth and sex.

The talk is part of the "Fate of the Book" speaker series sponsored by the Department of English, the Harry Ransom Center and the Texas Institute for Literary & Textual Studies.
