College of Liberal Arts

Four Directions

Friday Sep 1, 2017 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Perry-CastaƱeda Library Plaza

On campus: at The University of Texas at Austin (UT), Friday, September 1st, 5-8 PM (CT):

Please join the Native American and Indigenous Collective's Annual Welcome Program, Four Directions on September 1st at the PCL Plaza, on UT campus, from 5-8 pm. This gathering will welcome students from all four directions and to show the wonderful resources we have to offer that help us honor our origins, build community in and outside of UT Austin, and heal collectively.

We will have beautiful performances by Native students, Spitshine poets, *free* food, free t-shirts, and activities!

We are also honored to have the presence of Dr. Mario Garza (Coahuiltecan), the primary founder of the Indigenous Cultures Institute of San Marcos. He will perform a blessing in Coahuiltecan---which is a beautiful and healing way to start the school year!
