Liberal Arts families are invited to the 2009 College of Liberal Arts' Family Weekend Oct. 23-25 at the University oof Texas at Austin campus. Enjoy a dinner with faculty, staff and students, an open house and a series of short classes taught by the college's distinguished faculty.

Career Services Open House

Liberal Arts Career Services' mission is to help students translate their liberal arts education into a world of opportunities. Drop in and learn more about the many services and resources Liberal Arts Career Services has to assist students.

Liberal Arts Family Dinner Extravaganza
Friday, Oct. 23, 
7 p.m., Texas Union Ballroom

Join Dean Randy Diehl, faculty, and student members of the Liberal Arts Council for an evening of dinner, conversation and entertainment. You will have a chance to hear Randy Diehl talk about the college, meet and share ideas with some of our faculty and students, and enjoy performances by liberal arts students. Seating will be limited. Dinner-$20 parents/$10 UT students.

Liberal Arts Breakfast and Open House
Saturday, Oct. 24, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m., South Mall

Enjoy a continental breakfast and visit with the dean and directors of several of the college's key programs, such as UTeach-Liberal Arts, Liberal Arts Career Services, Liberal Arts Study Abroad and Liberal Arts Parents' League. College advisers will also be on hand to discuss academic programs. Tickets for these events are not needed. Registration is requested for an estimated head count only.

Mini-Classes with Faculty
Saturday, Oct. 24, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Attend any of the six short courses that will be taught by some of the most talented instructors in the college. Classes are 40 minutes long and cover a variety of topics and issues. Classes and specific times to be announced. Please watch for additional information in the mail.
