International Education Week Event

Wednesday Nov 20, 2019 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM | HRH 2.118

What is International Education Week?

In the words of Dr. Sonia Feigenbaum, Senior Vice Provost for Global Engagement/Chief International Officer, “Every year, universities across the country participate in International Education Week (IEW), a joint U.S. Department of State and Education initiative that celebrates the robust transformative impact and value of international education. This year, during the week of November 18-22, 2019, Texas Global will showcase the diversity, breadth, and depth of global engagement on campus by hosting and supporting a wide range of events for students, scholars, faculty, and staff.”

In honor of International Education Week, the Department of French and Italian will host an event called “Putting Your French and Italian to Work.”  David Birdsong will speak on the impact and career value of studying world languages, and several recent graduates will talk about how they have used French or Italian during college internships and post-graduation in their careers.  Informative flyers on our course offerings and study abroad programs will be available.

Please encourage your undergraduate students to attend!

When:  Wednesday, November 20th from 3:00-4:30
