Eight Liberal Arts Professors Honored by Society for Teaching Excellence

AUSTIN, Texas – Eight assistant professors from the College of Liberal Arts have been selected for the Society for Teaching Excellence, a newly created fellowship of junior faculty dedicated to effective teaching.

The recipients are:

  • Keisha Bentley, assistant professor of African and African diaspora, Educational Psychology
  • Deborah Bolnick, assistant professor of anthropology
  • Sinan Dogramaci, assistant professor of philosophy
  • Juan Dominguez, assistant professor of psychology
  • Tatjana Lichtenstein, assistant professor of history
  • Allen MacDuffie, assistant professor of English
  • Mark Pierce, assistant professor of Germanic studies
  • Luis Cárcamo-Huechante, assistant professor of Spanish and Portuguese

Sponsored by the School of Undergraduate Studies and the Academy of Distinguished Teachers, the society aims to provide new faculty with regular opportunities for discussion and interaction with members of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers.
