Dan David Prize and Dan David Scholarships

This is a call for nominations in your area for two type of awards (not limited submissions):  The Dan David Prize and the Dan David Scholarships.  Each year, fields are chosen within the three Time Dimensions - Past, Present and Future.  Your nominations may be submitted directly to the Dan David Prize organization, as indicated on the instructions web-sites.

This year, the fields are: Past (Evolution); Present (Cinema and Society); Future (Ageing-Facing the Challenge).

Dan David Prize: Three prizes of US$ 1 million each are annually awarded for achievements having an outstanding scientific, technological, cultural or social impact on our world.   Nominees for the Dan David Prize may be individuals or organizations.  Self-nominations are not accepted.

Deadline:  The deadline for receipt of nominations is November 30, 2010.

Nomination form (on-line) and instructions:

Dan David Scholarships:  each year the Dan David Prize awards 20 scholarships of US$15,000 each to outstanding doctoral and postdoctoral students of exceptional promise in the chosen fields; 10 of these are awarded to students from universities all over the world (10 to Tel Aviv University students).

Deadline:  The deadline for scholarship applications receipt is March 15, 2011.
