Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies recognizes three outstanding undergraduates

Undergraduate students Brett Blieden, Zachary Goodman, and Sam Rosen won awards for their outstanding work in Jewish Studies in the 2011–2012 academic year.

Mr. Blieden and Mr. Rosen won the Schusterman Center's annual thesis prizes. Mr. Blieden, who graduated in May, won the Henry Weiss Award for his thesis, "Separation and Nostalgia: South African Jewish Experience through Post-Apartheid Perspectives." Mr. Rosen won the David M. Rosenberg Award for his thesis, "The New Jew: A Biography of Its Nature."

Meanwhile, Mr. Goodman won the David M. Rosenberg Service Award for his contributions to the success of the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies.

The Schusterman Center congratulates this year's winners and encourages eligible students to apply next year.
