Awards for Best Essay/Thesis in Jewish Studies

1) Award for Best Essay on a Jewish Topic

Purpose: To support excellent research and writing among undergraduate students on Jewish topics.
Amount: $500
Deadline: Nov 16, 2018

Eligibility: Open to any student who has written an essay on a Jewish topic in a course at UT-Austin in the preceding fall semester or the current spring semester. 

2) Award for Best Thesis on a Jewish Topic

Purpose: To support excellent research among undergraduate students on Jewish topics.
Amount: $750
Deadline: Nov 16, 2018

Eligibility: Students who have completed a thesis as a capstone or honors project in the current spring and preceding fall semesters are eligible.   

How to Apply:

Your application includes the following items:

1. A Completed Application Form (download in Word and as a PDF here)
2. A copy of the original paper with instructor’s comments and grade or a copy of the thesis
3. A copy of the assignment prompt if applicable
4. A Resume (1 page)
5. A Letter of Support from Instructor/Adviser

To complete your application, submit either paper or digital copies of all items:

Paper copies of applications should be submitted by mail to:
