Movie Synopises: 12 is a 2007 crime film by Russian director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov. The film was presented at the 64th Venice International Film Festival, where Mikhalkov was awarded the Special Lion for Overall Work. It is an adaptation of Reginald Rose's play, Twelve Angry Men and a remake of Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men movie. 12 jurors must decide the fate of a Chechen teenager charged with murdering his stepfather.

Director Nikita Mikhailkov’s 2007 exploration of Chechen violence and human nature, “12” is based on Sidney Lumet’s “Twelve Angry Men,” but with a very Russian point of view.  Mikhailkov is one of Russia’s most famous directors.
