The culture of the Kazakhs has been fully manifested through oral art, music and decorative arts and crafts. Many historical events were not favorable for the Kazakhs. Having survived devastating wars, colonization and collectivization, along with difficult natural conditions, the Kazakhs developed a rich tradition of oral art, and in return, the art itself became the spiritual foundation for survival. The quick, expressive and emotional poetic word is the treasure of the spiritual culture of the Kazakhs. It is the wisdom handed down by their ancestors. Through oral art, we learn about historical events, moral and ethical values, beliefs, and we become familiar with the rich language of poetry. This invaluable heritage should be studied and handed down to the new generations of the Independent Kazakhstan.
