Joe Potter and Daniel Grossman will present preliminary findings of the Texas Policy Evaluation Project.
Please join us for a presentation from Dr. Joseph Potter and Dr. Daniel Grossman to discuss the preliminary findings of theTexas Policy Evaluation Project. This project, led by researchers at the University of Texas at Austin, Ibis Reproductive Health, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, is a three-year study aimed at evaluating the impact of the family planning budget cuts and abortion restrictions implemented by the Texas Legislature in 2011.
Opening remarks will be made by the honorable Representative Jessica Farrar.
Additional Speakers will include:
·        Representatives from the Latina Institute will share their work in the Rio Grande valley documenting women’s stories related to these restrictions
·        Sara Hutchinson from Catholics for Choice
·        The voices of Texas women telling their experiences of family planning and abortion care restrictions
·        Brief comments calling for you to join our efforts and take action to oppose bad bills while offering proactive, positive support for a Texas that values women from Heather Busby, Executive Director of NARAL Pro Choice Texas and Blake Rocap, Legislative Counsel and Amy Hagstrom Miller, CEO of Whole Woman’s Health
