Biography
Alison Coffey is a third year PhD student in the Department of Sociology and a Graduate Fellow of the Urban Ethnography Lab. Her research focuses on the politics of climate adaptation and urban development, conflicts over land and property, housing, and social movements. Alison holds a Master’s Degree in City Planning from MIT and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Tufts University, and she is a research affiliate of the MIT Community Innovators Lab.
