Asif Aslam Furrukhi is a Public Health Physician who works for UNICEF,Pakistan. A person of letters and public intellectual in Pakistan, he is one of the most important Urdu literary figures of his generation. A prolific short story writer and literary critic who writes with equal facility in Urdu and English, Dr. Furrukhi is also the editor of the literary journal,Dunyazad and runs a publishing house Scheherazade in Pakistan. Recently he has been translating works of fiction from world literature and publishing them in Urdu.

Ahmad Saleem is a major Punjabi literary figure of Pakistan. In recent years he headed the section for Urdu Publications and Research at SDPI in Islamabad. He has conducted extensive sociological research on Minorities, Coal Mine Workers, Brick Kiln Workers, Bonded Labor, Partition Narratives and a range of such topics in Pakistan. Independently and in coordination with the International Institute of Social History he manages one of the most important archive on Progressive literature in Pakistan.
