Alex received his BA from Temple University and his MA from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México where he was a Fulbright García-Robles scholar. Prior to his studies at UT, Alex worked for the UN Development Program in Mexico City on inclusive data protection policies for trans migrants in Mexico. Alex's doctoral research centers mainly on Mexico but will also include the exilic literatures and cultures of other countries such as Spain, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Chile.
