Undergraduate Spotlight: Mohammad Razvi
Mohammad Razvi

My name is Mohammad Razvi. I am a fourth-year Neuroscience and Spanish double major and I am originally from Chicago. I have been at UT for the last three and a half years and will be graduating this upcoming December. By far, my favorite course in the department of Spanish and Portuguese has been Spanish for Health Care Professions. Professor Rose Potter was a wonderful instructor and she really cared for the success of each and every one of her students. She wanted us to leave her course with skills we could all use in our future professions and she wanted to help us become better qualified and more well-rounded individuals. In that class I was able to practice Spanish in a variety of different scenarios with speaking, listening, writing, and interpreting practices and in contexts that related to my future career plans. In that class, I also met many wonderful people that I am still friends with and have taken more courses with. I hope to go to medical school and serve a diverse patient population one day as a physician. Being able to speak and understand Spanish in a medical setting will help me with my goals. After graduating, I will be going home to spend time with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews and traveling across the United States and Canada to visit relatives and national parks.
