Due to recent weather events, Gone to Liberal Arts has been canceled.

Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., UT Turtle Pond, north of the main building

Gone to Liberal Arts is a celebration welcoming new students. Stop by the Turtle Pond to enjoy a barbecue dinner from PoK-e-Jo's and listen to live music by local country band Will Dupuy & Friends. Students can win a door prize for wearing their COLA orientation shirt, visit with Liberal Arts faculty and staff members, and learn about various organizations within the College. This event is open to all new and current Liberal Arts students.

At 8:30 p.m. students are invited to join the rest of the university on the Main Mall for the campus-wide Gone to Texas festivities. Live performances, a welcome by President Greg Fenves, special guest speakers, and a finale featuring the Longhorn Band are on the agenda to help celebrate and welcome all new members of our academic community to the Forty Acres. For more information, please visit the main Gone to Texas website.
