Neil Charness, PhD Talk on 4/5 at 12 pm

The School of Nursing and the School of Information will host a talk by Dr. Neil Charness from Florida State University on 4/5/19 at 12 pm in NUR 1.108. 

Dr. Charness is the William G. Chase Professor of Psychology at Florida State University. His interests include human factors approaches to understanding aging and technology use, and older driver and pedestrian safety. His research has explored the intersection of aging and cognition, expertise, human-computer interaction, technology design, training, and transportation safety. He founded the Institute for Successful Longevity and is the co-founder for the Center for Research an dEducation on Aging and Technology Enhancement, a center dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of technology can be realized by older adults. His contributions to the field have not only advanced theory and practice but also contributed to older adults’ safety, well-being, and quality of life.
