Dr. Thomas J. Garza, Ed.D., the Director of the Texas Language Center and Distinguished Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies will be giving a talk to the Foreign Language Education Student Association (FLESA) on teaching cultural literacy ("Getting from Good to Great: Cultural Literacy and Advanced FL Proficiency"), a topic that is especially relevant to second language instructors in this age of globalization.
