2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Over the last 15 years Dr. Urlaub has contributed to a variety of language centers at American universities: the Stanford Language Center, the Texas Language Center, and Vanderbilt’s Center for Second Language Studies. Recently, he has visited the language centers of Columbia, Yale, and Cornell to give workshops and present research. These experiences helped him to appreciated the complex functions of language centers in their respective institutional settings. In his presentation he will provide a panorama of approaches to building and sustaining language centers that respond the particular needs of learners, instructors, and institutions.
