Talk: “Yiddish as a Minority Language in Sweden”

In 2000, the Swedish government designated Yiddish one of the country’s five official minority languages.  Dr. Schwarz will explore the significance of this language policy and discuss its wider implications for minority identities and heritage in Sweden and more broadly in the European Union.
