TxPEP Postpartum Contraception Study has 79 percent participant retention rate.

A new feature on the TxPEP Postpartum Contraception Study discusses how the interviewer team attained high participant retention rates--seventy-nine percent of the original 1,700 participants were retained after 24 months. The interviewers attribute high retention rates to several key strategies. These include requesting contact information of partners and family members in the event participants changed phone numbers, requesting updates of participants' contact information through Facebook and postcards, and offering flexible interview times to better accommodate participants' work schedules.
