Spanish Screening Procedure (SSP)

The Spanish Screening Procedure (SSP) is a screening test for oral proficiency in Spanish. LOTE students seeking certification in Spanish are required to take the SSP each semester of the UTeach program.
*Students who plan to take UTL 202 or UTL 303/EDC 370S in Spring 2009 are required to take the SSP in November.

All secondary Spanish certification seekers in UTL 101, 202 and UTL 303/EDC 370S who have not yet made a score of 7 or 8 on the SSP, should come by SZB 216, or call 471-3223, to sign up for a time slot on Monday, November 10, 2008 to take the SSP.

The whole process takes only about one-half hour. Times available include 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 a.m., and 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Gamel Holzaepfel, Senior Academic Counselor, sgamel@mail.utexas.edu, 471-3223.

Future SSP testing dates for 2008-2009 include Jan. 28, 2009 and April 15, 2009.
