How to navigate to a specific section on the page

Navigation within a webpage can be made easier with the use of anchor IDs and links in Cascade. If there is a lot of content on the page and you would like the user to navigate to specific sections on the page on click of a click, please refer to the below instructions.

Step One: Add an Anchor ID to the section

In the Cascade editor, add an Anchor ID to the section that you would like the user to navigate to on the click of a link.

For example, if you would like the user to navigate to 'Danish Courses' section on the webpage on click of a link, select the text 'Danish Courses' and click on the 'Anchor' button in the editor to add an ID.

Note: The anchor ID should be unique.

After you have added the anchor ID, you should be able to see an anchor symbol as shown below.

Step Two: Add an Anchor link to scroll to a section

Once you have added an anchor ID to a section, you need to add a link for the user to be able to navigate to that section.

To add a link, select the text that you want as a link and click on 'Insert/edit link' option in the editor as shown below.

In the 'Insert link' window, under the 'Anchor' field, add the anchor ID that you have previously added for the section. This connects the Anchor link to the Anchor ID and ensures that the user is navigated to the section with the given Anchor ID after clicking on the link.

You should now be able to navigate to a particular section on the page with the use of links in Cascade. This is especially helpful to facilitate easy navigation for the user when you have a lot of content on the page.
