"How to Make Art at the End of the World"

Thu, November 14, 2019 | UNB 2.102

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Guest Speaker: Natalie Loveless

This talk asks what artistic approaches and sensibilities can offer to debate surrounding Anthropogenic climate change, attending to the difference between art on ecology and art that is formed ecologically.

Natalie Loveless is visiting UT Austin in connection with the Greeting Cards for the Anthropocene project. She will participate in a greeting card composition and design workshop from 5-7pm on Thursday, November 14th.

Greeting Cards for the Anthropocene is a project that activates technologies of collaboration and creative expression at a time of increasingly dire climate crisis.

The workshop will feature a demonstration of printing with the Vandercook press and an open and collaborative discussion of greeting card design. Participants will contribute to the Greeting Cards for the Anthropocene project and will go home with a sample greeting card.

This workshop is free and open to everyone. Food and drinks will be provided.
