Declaring an Anthropology Major

Anthropology is an open major. Students who wish to declare Anthropology must meet with the undergraduate advisor to review the degree requirements before declaring.

Current Liberal Arts students who wish to add or change to Anthropology can simply book an appointment with the undergraduate advisor to do so.

Students must meet with the undergraduate advisor before their application will be approved. Students may submit their application first, but it is highly recommended that you meet with the undergraduate advisor first.

If you are a UT student who is not currently enrolled in Liberal Arts, you must submit the UT Austin internal transfer application.
