Information Session: Funding for Foreign Language and Area Studies

The Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship Program provides almost $1 million in funding to UT undergraduate and graduate students each year to study foreign languages and cultures at UT and elsewhere in the US and abroad.

Students and advisors are welcome to join us for an informational meeting on funding for summer and academic year study of foreign languages and area studies! A brief presentation on the FLAS Fellowship program, including application requirements, program benefits and responsibilities of awarded students will be followed by a Q&A session with UT FLAS Coordinators. Food and refreshments will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Languages covered by SAI FLAS Fellowships include Bengali (Bangla), Hindi, Malayalam, Persian (if it relates directly to the study of South Asia), Tamil, Urdu, and other approved contemporary South Asian languages.

For more information visit our FLAS Fellowships webpage.
