Getting to Campus

There are several ways to arrive to campus; however, it is strongly advised to arrive using a rideshare service or being dropped off. In cases where parking cannot be found, street parking may be available. Use this map to find street parking near you. 

  • San Antonio Garage Directions

    Garage Address: 2420 San Antonio St, Austin, TX 78705. View the garage map for more details. Parking validated at the San Antonio Garage, only. View the area map for driving directions, including the route from the Austin Bergstrom Airport.

    From IH-35:

    Take the MLK Boulevard exit westbound, campus will be on your right. Take a right northbound on San Antonio Street (one street passed Guadalupe St). Continue on San Antonio as it winds around Starbucks, past 24th Street. Once you've past 24th Street, the San Antonio Garage will be on your left before 25th Street.

    From MoPac/Loop 1:

    Take the Windsor Road exit eastbound, Windsor turns into 24th Street. Continue along Windsor/24th eastbound towards campus. Turn left onto San Antonio Street (at the Starbucks) and the entrance to the San Antonio Garage will be on your left before 25th Street.

  • Drop- Off

     *Due to limited parking on campus, it is strongly advised to arrive using a rideshare service.

    The drop-off zone is located outside the Texas Union along 24th Street, east of Guadalupe Street. Drop-off will be open 9:00am – 10:30am. The map to the drop-off location and San Antonio Garage can be found here.

    From IH-35:

    Take the MLK Boulevard exit westbound, campus will be on your right. Take a right on Guadalupe Street norhtbound. Take a right on 24th Street, the Package Drop-Off Zone will be on your right. After drop-off, park in San Antonio Garage.

    From MoPac/Loop 1:

    Take the Windsor Road exit eastbound, Windsor turns into 24th Street. Continue along Windsor/24th eastbound towards campus and cross Guadaulpe Street, the drop-off zone will be on your right just past Guadalupe Street. After drop-off, park in San Antonio Garage.

    Ride Share/Taxi Info:

    Please ask your taxi driver to drop you off at the guard booth at the intersection of 24th Street and Whitis. The Texas Union will be on your right. 

  • Career Fair Parking

     

    We are able to provide career fair event parking for 1 car per organization at the San Antonio Garage located at: 2420 San Antonio Street. Temporary codes will be distributed before arriving at the event via email. Please save and use these codes or you will be charged the event rate at the garage's entrance. These unique codes allow one entry and one exit per organization. 

    HOW TO USE THE PERMIT:​​​​​​

    • To enter, scan the QR code using the scanner to the left.
    • To exit, scan the same QR code using the same left scanner.

     

    Failure to scan, even if the gate is raised, will cause the code to become out of sync, preventing you from exiting, and a $15 reset fee will apply. If signage at the garage indicates it is full, still use the code to enter. Click here for a visual aid of which scanner to use.

  • Chaser Parking Tickets

    Chaser tickets are used for single guest or employer visits and will not be provided for large events or fairs. 

    • You will pull a ticket when entering the garage. Leave this ticket in your vehicle.
    • You will be issued a Chaser Ticket before you leave the event. 
    • At the garage exit, scan the pulled ticket first, then the chaser ticket using the left scanner. The garage gate will raise allowing you to leave.
    • A ticket can only be used for a single exit.

  • Law Fair/Legislative Fair Parking

    Fair event parking is available at the Brazos Garage located at: 210 E. MLK Blvd, for purchase. A link to purchase your parking permit will be sent via email from the fair event coordinator. You will have access to the link until the midnight before the fair to purchase a permit. Please save and use these permits to enter and exit the garage once on the event day. 

    HOW TO PURCHASE AND USE YOUR PERMIT:​​​​​​

    • Follow the link given in your day of information email sent to you by the UT Law Fair event coordinator.
    • Select the venue Law Fair will be occurring at and click next (Law Fair 2024 will be in San Jacinto Hall).
    • Find Law Fair in the listed events and select “Find Parking”.
    • Add the permit to your cart and continue to check out.
    • Save the QR code sent to you after purchase. This will be your permit.
    • To enter the garage, scan the QR code using the scanner to the left.
    • To exit, scan the same QR code using the same left scanner.
