Earlier this summer Dr. Ingrid Edlund-Berry participated in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the excavations at the Etruscan site Poggio Civitate (Murlo, Siena). She represented the early members of the excavation and was interviewed about her experiences from 1967-today. The printed text appeared in the July issue of Archeo (available in the Classics library), and the interview is also available on 50 anni di scavi a Murlo.

Also included in the festivities was an exhibit of photographs by the Swedish photographer and architect Göran Söderberg, whose work was exhibited in our department as part of the Etruscans in Austin event in 2008, curated by Beth Chichester. A selection of the photographs is presented in a recent publication, Un tempo ritrovato: la scoperta di Murlo by Giuseppe M. Della Fina, Ingrid Edlund-Berry and Göran Söderberg (Siena: Nuova Immagine Siena 2016).
