Transcript-recognized Minor in Core Texts and Ideas

Applicable to students under the 2016-2018 catalog and subsequent catalogs

Requirements: Fifteen hours of coursework in Core Texts and Ideas, including at least six hours of upper-division coursework.

The transcript-recognized undergraduate academic minor must be completed in conjunction with an undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. For more information regarding the requirements for achieving a minor, including a comprehensive list of minors, please visit the Minors and Certificate Programs section of the Undergraduate Catalog.

Core Texts and Ideas Minor (Old Catalogs)

Applicable to students under the 2010-2012, 2012-2014 and 2014-2016 catalogs

Requirements: Twelve hours of coursework in Core Texas and Ideas, including at least six hours of upper-division coursework and at least six hours in residence. Minors under these catalogs do not appear on the transcript.
