A message from the Vice President of our JSP Alumni Association- Adam Weimer
A community such as the Jefferson Scholars Program should not end upon graduation. A foundation built upon what JSP offered us should (and can!) last a lifetime.
How are we going to build this alumni association to be something great, as it was always destined to be? We are going to start a book club. Yes, a simple book club. We figured that the most effective way to re-vitalize this community would be to start small, and allow our seed to flourish over time.
The format for the book club will be simple. We will meet online via Zoom (an unfortunate yet necessary communication method), and discuss the reading for that specific section. Each time we meet, a different member will come up with discussion questions (no required amount) and the conversation will flow naturally from that discussion host. Additionally, we will have a special guest at every meeting.
Our hopes are that you can get back to us in due time denoting your willingness to participate. If you have any suggestions on meeting times or format, please let us know. We want to make this as enjoyable and accessible as possible. Our sole desire is to revitalize our Alumni group! What a wonderful future we have in front of us.
If you are interested in participating, you can write to the CTI email address or write directly to me, Adam, at:

A special thanks to Joey Sorenson (our president) and Professor Dempsey for their help in this effort.
Regards, Adam Weimer
