Activity Fund
The Jefferson Scholars Program has a student activity fund that scholars may draw upon to attend cultural events such as plays and classical music concerts both on and off campus. The activity fund is available not only to peer mentors but to all Jefferson Scholars who would like to arrange an event for a group of Scholars.
To use the student activity fund, follow these steps:
- Submit the Activity Form to get pre-approval from Assistant Director Erik Dempsey.
- Once you have been approved for an event you will need to submit additional paperwork to our admin Taren Alexander. She will be able to explain the type of receipt needed as well as all the additional materials, which include the JSP Activity Fund Reimbursement Form.
- Attend the event in a group comprised of more than one Jefferson Scholar, and submit your receipts to Taren.
- Submit one receipt for the event to the Jefferson Center office, together with the JSP Activity Fund Reimbursement Form. For example, if you go to a play, one person should collect money from the entire group and that person will be reimbursed for all the tickets.
Please keep in mind that reimbursements can take up to 6 weeks to be processed.
