Living Learning Community
The Jefferson Scholars Living Learning Community (LLC) provide an immersive experience for freshman Jefferson Scholars who wish to live in a close-knit community with others in the program. It is located in the Moore-Hill Residence Hall in the central part of campus, near the Perry-Castañeda Library, the liberal arts quad, and Gregory Gymnasium. In the LLC students who share a love of the great books and an interest in the great questions of human life are able to continue their conversations outside of class. In addition to taking part in the Jefferson Scholars Program’s regular extracurricular events, LLC members enjoy shared meals, form study groups, and welcome faculty members to the dorm for informal discussions throughout the year.
Application to the Jefferson Scholars LLC is part of the process of applying to the Jefferson Scholars Program for incoming freshmen. If you would like to apply for the LLC, simply indicate your interest on the JSP application form. You will be directed to provide more information when the LLC application system is ready. Accepted students will then register for the LLC when they sign their housing contract using the StarRez system.
