Direct exchange program for UT students planning to study at NTU through Texas Global’s Education Abroad initiative. In additional to Mandarin language courses, students are able to take courses in a variety of areas of study. These courses may be taught in English or Mandarin. Tentatively available in 2024, this is an exchange program for UT students planning to study at NTNU through Texas Global’s Education Abroad initiative. CET Taiwan
Open to absolute beginners through advanced Chinese learners, the CET Taiwan program is ideal for UT students seeking to improve their Chinese language skills while gaining professional experience. Students take language courses at CLD, a Chinese language program housed at National Taiwan University, Taiwan's highest-ranking university. Students can also take elective courses and complete a part-time internship in Chinese and English-speaking environments; placements are available in a wide variety of sectors, local organizations, and companies.

Taiwan Huayu Bilingual Exchanges of Selected Talent Program (BEST)
As recently established cooperation program on Mandarin learning and teaching with National Taiwan University (NTU) offers new scholarship opportunities for UT students. The BEST program provides students with a monthly scholarship while they pursue intensive Chinese language studies at National Taiwan University (NTU). They may choose to study at either the International Chinese Language Program (ICLP) or the Chinese Language Division (CLD), both of which belong to NTU. The deadline to apply for BEST for the summer term is 2/20/2023.

Taiwan Huayu Enrichment Scholarship
This scholarship program provided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education supports language studies and the pursuit of degree programs in Taiwan. The application period for 2023 is 2/1- 3/31. Candidates have to apply directly to TECO in Houston through the link they provided in the guideline.
