CWGS Co-Sponsorship Policy

A co-sponsorship is funding for a specific event for which The University of Texas at Austin receives a benefit as well as recognition for the co-sponsor (CWGS). In the interests of academic freedom, the Center for Women's & Gender Studies co-sponsors a variety of student- and faculty-organized events. Views expressed by participants in these events do not necessarily represent the views or positions of CWGS, its Director, Associate Director, or staff.

In keeping with our mission and values, CWGS and LGBTQ Studies give priority to co-sponsoring events that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility of both identities and ideas which have been historically excluded, underrepresented, or marginalized at UT and in the greater community. This includes, specifically, ensuring that all events we co-sponsor make deliberate efforts to include diverse voices in their composition and be mindful of diverse audiences. How does your event advance the diversity of historically under-represented communities?

The Center for Women’s & Gender Studies will accept requests for co-sponsorships. To support your request, please fill out and submit this form.  *
