Texas Career Engagement

Texas Career Engagement launched Texas ’20 and Beyond in collaboration with career centers and other offices from across the university.  

Created to celebrate graduates and to help them prepare for a new economy, Texas ’20 and Beyond features resources to:

  • Help graduates articulate their strengths, adaptability and leadership to employers
  • Learn who’s hiring and how to be successful in their job search
  • Explore virtual career resources, including graduate school, law school and health professions consideration
  • Discover specialized resources for advanced degree graduates
  • Provide Continued Career Support After Graduation


The Vick Center – Texas Career Engagement Partnership

The Vick Center for Strategic Advising will continue to offer academic advising services to all undergraduates looking to explore majors and to navigate the internal transfer process. As career counselors with Texas Career Engagement (TCE), Emily Swanson, Jordan Rossi and Adria Villarreal will continue to provide career counseling services and programming to all undergraduate students, including UGS students and those who have additional levels of identity or career interests outside of their college or school. This includes:

  • Major and Career Exploration
  • Career Assessments
  • Experiential Learning and Internship Planning
  • Graduate School Planning
  • Career-related Workshops and more

Liberal Arts Career Services

"Translating a liberal arts education into a world of opportunities," at Liberal Arts Career Services. Their goal is to help Liberal Arts students go "Beyond the Tower" through our career & internship coaching, law & graduate school admissions coaching, career courses, professional development program and recruiting.

  • Video, audio, and chat communication features
  • Group meetings with up to 50 students
  • 1:1 student meetings scheduled in advance or after a group session

Graduate Students

Liberal Arts Career Services website includes overviews of academic and non-academic career searches, a calendar of campus events and workshops, information on career coaching and appointments, and resources for job materials and searches. Coaching and events are being offered virtually for now.

Liberal Arts Career Services and Texas Career Engagement provide career coaching to currently enrolled degree-seeking Liberal Arts graduate students. Liberal Arts Career Services specifically supports students pursuing employment opportunities outside of academia. Texas Career Engagement supports graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across the university. They can assist with ANY career search, including an academic position. You can simultaneously pursue faculty and non-faculty career paths.
