Advising Services

The Economics Undergraduate Advising Office assists current Economics majors with: long-term planning, registration, study abroad programs, honors programs, petitions, special waivers, scholastic probation, and transfer of credit.

We offer both appointment and walk-in advising at select times depending on what you would like to discuss. We do not schedule appointments via email.

Please see a Liberal Arts Student Division Advisor in Gebauer Hall (GEB 2.200) to discuss any of the following: Q Drops and Pass/Fail, One Time Exeptions (OTE), Applying to Graduate, Official Degree Check, etc.

Interested in becoming an Economics major?

Current UT Students: In order to meet with an Economics advisor, you must attend an info session. After you have attended an info session, you may schedule an appointment to meet with an advisor during non-peak times, or you may visit during walk-in hours year-round.

Prospective freshmen and external transfers: Our office can meet with non-UT students during non-peak times (peak times are the first twelve class days and during registration). Call 512-471-2973 to schedule a prospective student appointment.
