Polish
Studying Polish offers an opportunity to develop language proficiency while exploring Poland’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage. Through structured instruction in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, students build the skills to communicate in Polish and engage with authentic texts and cultural materials. Language study also deepens appreciation of influential Polish figures, including poet Adam Mickiewicz, Nobel Prize–winning writers Wisława Szymborska and Olga Tokarczuk, composer Fryderyk Chopin, and scientist Maria Skłodowska-Curie.
The Department of European and Eurasian Studies offers mutiple levels of Polish language courses. Visit the Undergraduate Course List page to access links to the University Course Catalog or the Course Spotlight page for current featured course flyers.
