Dr. Ferrara obtained his doctorate in clinical psychology in 1982. He began his career in forensic psychology in 1985 when he served as the Chief Psychologist for the Texas Youth Commission and later he served as the Chief Psychologist for the Texas Department of Corrections. Since entering private practice around 1991, Dr. Ferrara has worked exclusively with clients who are involved in the court system. He has provided testimony before the legislature for the State of Texas. He has also testified as an expert witness in over 200 court cases. He is responsible for implementing every major sex offender treatment program in the State of Texas and other sex offender treatment programs outside the state of Texas. Dr. Ferrara routinely provides training seminars for mental health professionals, judges, and attorneys.
