Annual Gifts

Daniela Bini, Daniela Bini Excellence in Italian Annual Award
Dr. Daniela Bini is currently a Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature at the University of Texas at Austin and served as Chair of the French and Italian Department from 2003-2011. She is also a UT alum, having received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Texas at Austin in 1978 after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Rome.

The Daniela Bini Excellence in Italian Award was established to provide assistance to outstanding graduate students of Italian Studies.

Dina Sherzer, Dina Sherzer Fund for Excellence
Dr. Dina M. Sherzer is a Professor Emeritus of French and Italian and Comparative Literature at The University of Texas at Austin and served as chair of the department of French and Italian from 1994-2003. Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin in 1971, she completed her M.A. (1967) and Ph.D. (1970) in Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Dina Sherzer Fund for Excellence benefits outstanding graduate students of Italian Studies with emphasis on support for graduate student research projects.
