Education Abroad in Bologna

Bologna, Italy
The Bologna Study Program allows students of Italian to immerse themselves in language and culture in the capital city of the Emilia-Romagna region. Bologna, which houses the oldest university in the world in continuous operation (Universita di Bologna, established in 1088) and is distinguished for its creativity, culture, and stunning architecture. This program is the sole program at UT dedicated to the pursuit of linguistic proficiency in Italian, and provides students with the opportunity to engage with university students and locals alike in the 7th largest Italian city by population.
An intensive language and culture program open to all registered undergraduate and graduate students. Italian families host students providing an in-depth experience of Italian lifestyle and language. Students spend six weeks in Bologna and earn from 3 to 6 credit hours.
Please email Program Director Dr. Amanda Bush with any questions or visit the Bologna program page hosted on UT Direct for more important information on financial aid, scholarships, and dates.
