Texas Germans and German in Texas

• "Es klingt wie Deutsch" (EKWD):  weekly student-run radio program
• German -Texan Heritage Society :  The GTHS is a significant presence in the Austin area, hosting festivals and offering German classes for both children and adults.

For Teachers and Students

• Outreach to AISD schools: UT's program bringing German to the schools
• Texas State German Contest: A yearly state-wide contest for high school students.
• South Texas AATG:  The association is the local chapterof the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG), the largest professional organization dedicated to German.  It hosts a yearly convention in Texas, and supports both the annual Texas German Contest  and the national AATG convention when it is held in the state.
