Congratulations! You have successfully applied for admission to the Department of Government Ph.D. program.

Admission to the program is highly competitive. Many qualified candidates are denied admission each year.

Applicants will be notified by late January about admissions decisions. Financial assistance decisions – i.e., fellowships, teaching assistantships and research assistantships – are merit-based and will be made shortly thereafter. In late March, the Department of Government will host a visiting day for admitted students.
