Prospective Government Majors

 

We are currently accepting majors from within COLA and internal transfers from outside COLA.

 

To apply to the government major:

• Watch the video presentation below.
• Click the "Major Change/Add Form" button at the bottom of this page.

You will be required to complete a quiz based off of the information covered in the video presentation. Once processed, you will receive an email with more information about when the major change will take effect.

We will process applications in mid October, mid November and early December.

If you are outside of COLA, you must additionally apply through the University's Internal Transfer Application by December 1st, 2025 for Spring 2026 admission to the major.

 

Note: We can only meet with prospective majors *after* they have submitted the Qualtrics form above and during non-high traffic times. If you are not a current major and book with us during registration or the first 6 class days, we will cancel your advising appointment.
