Academic Advising
If you are a current HDO student or considering returning to UT, HDO has an academic advising team here to assist you. We are here to help direct and refer you to all UT Campus resources, discuss and help you plan your registration schedules, research study abroad, review your IDA for degree progress, discuss the HDO curriculum, your graduation plans, and anything you'd like. We do not have mandatory advising in HDO, but we encourage you to make appointments all year. Our calenar links are below on this page.
We do not meet with prospective internal transfer students, but have created an internal transfer process, as described below. If you still have questions after watching our internal transfer video, please email.
EVERYONE - email us with any questions you may have. Please include your UTEID in all emails. We reply within 24 hours, Monday - Friday.
HDO has a new internal transfer process as follows:
- WATCH our internal transfer information session video: HDO Internal Transfer Information Session
- Non-COLA students, submit the UT Austin Internal Transfer Application and complete the quiz (QR code below).
- COLA Students, watch the video and complete the quiz (or choose the QR code below).
- You will receive an email when your application has been accepted.
