Patients, Practitioners, & Cultures of Care

Patients, Practitioners, and Cultures of Care (PPCC) is a new undergraduate certificate available through the Bridging Disciplines Program at UT-Austin. PPCC was developed with the assistance of a Humanities Connections Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for which Phillip Barrish (HI Associate Director for Health and Humanities) and Pauline Strong (HI Director) collaborated as co-Principal Investigators with Stephen Sonnenberg from Dell Medical School, who served as Principal Investigator. The Humanities Institute remains heavily involved with the PPCC program: Barrish and Strong serve on its Faculty Advisory panel and teach core courses for its students.
