IDH Grants

Speaker Grants support digital humanities discussions and training opportunities on campus. Funds up to $500 might be applied toward non-UT speaker expenses.

Training and Presentation Scholarships include funds up to $500 to support undergraduates, graduate students, and UT staff participating in conference presentations and workshops in digital humanities.

Rapid Prototyping Grants at various levels up to $1000 to support focused design and development interventions to help innovative projects get started or to add a new feature to existing projects. Intended to advance projects that cannot be achieved with current digital tools, these grants produce prototypes as working models rather than a production-ready systems. Types of support might include requests for a single view of an interface, a dynamic visualization, user stories, or high-level mockups.

Guided Research Fellowships help graduate students develop the skills they need to pursue their own digital humanities projects. Intended to provide a collaborative research and learning experience, these awards provide recipients with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of digital methods while advancing a project of their own design. The fellowships may be used to support any stage of research, from dataset creation and cleaning to metadata enhancement and experimental analysis.
